Global Pet Foods is the largest Canadian owned pet food franchise operating since 1975. We specialize in natural, wholesome pet foods for dogs, cats, small animals and birds. We do not sell animals and do encourage adoption from local shelters and rescue groups.
A Family Business with Three Global Pet Stores HRM Locations
All members of our family work in our business. We have been proudly serving HRM and beyond since 2004. Visit us and also meet Jewel, Pandora, Liam and Nugget, our in-store mascots.

We all work diligently in our stores Monday through Saturday. We have chosen not to open our three locations on Sundays to provide a family day for us and the valued people we work with.

Our Story
Our family came to Nova Scotia from Ontario in August 2004. It was a huge decision to pack up three young children leave all of our family and friends and head east where we knew absolutely no one. Lucie had been working as a corporate store manager for Global Pet Foods Head office when the opportunity to purchase 2 franchise locations in Nova Scotia came about. Within a crazy three and a half months we were in Halifax and working with enthusiasm as a family to build the stores. Adding another location in 2008 allowed us to conveniently serve all HRM residents.
